Using local clay as refractory cement or bricks?

I have some similar type questions about bricks for a masonry stove.  If I'm using ceramic fiber board for the core of the stove and need to make my own bricks for the walls of the masonry stove, what type of clays or materials are suitable and do the bricks have to be fired in a kiln first or can I just stack them dried?  I saw online where someone mentioned bricks for masonry stoves can be made and stacked just dried and not fired.  Is this true?

I can't buy bricks in the store because of their toxicity.  Can I use clay from my yard, (it is orange) or can I use a magnesium cement, silica, and EPK Kaolin clay (brown colored kaolin clay) recipe I use which has 50% kaolin in it, or do I need to use a specific type of mortar, clay?

This is not for the firebox as I stated as I'm using ceramic fiber board or firebrick for that.  It is just to build up the walls and chambers for the masonry stove.

Thanks.  That is fine to move it but it is a two part question.  One is on using local clay to make the bricks for the outer walls and chambers of a masonry stove (not firebox) and if the bricks have to be kiln dried first and the second is on the cement that is to be used for those bricks.  

Didn't know if anyone has knowledge on using Magnesium cement, kaolin clay (brown type), and silica recipe (that I use for other things) as a cement for either making the bricks or for using it as mortar either for the outer bricks or for the firebox.  They say magnesium cement is fireproof yet magnesium is flammable and used to start fires and I also don't know about cracking, etc with heat.    

It seems from the other comments I read that cements can be used for the outer bricks of stoves.  Does that include local clays being used as a mortar too?

When folks are using fireclay for mortar for the outer bricks of a stove are they mixing it with another clay or just using 100% fireclay?  I read online where some people use just a small amount of fireclay to give it stickiness and I also read on a website about building pizza ovens that fireclay should only be used on the firebox no more than a 1/4" and never to fill in large gaps as it shrinks a lot.  They don't recommend using it for outer bricks, etc.  Is anyone having issues with using fireclay on outer bricks?

Does anyone have a fireclay lime mortar recipe that works for either the firebox or outer bricks of a masonry stove (with no portland cement or possibly using some magnesium cement if necessary)?  I don't know if it would be the same but I read where they stated online that the old pizza ovens were made with lime and fireclay and that they lasted for generations.
