We have all forgotten about the very important skin microbiome. Well just like gut bacteria is very important and they can have a positive effect on our immune system, brain and health. They can also be used as soap/shampoo substitute

Let me introduce you to just 1 specific skin bacteria  Nitrosomonas eutropha an Ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and what it can do. Nitrite and nitric oxide, ammonia oxidation products play important roles in physiological functions of the skin, including inflammation, blood vessel relaxation and wound healing. AOB also improve the skin microenvironment by driving a lower pH through ammonia consumption leading to a local reduction in known pathogenic bacteria.

Skin/Topical
* Odor Control=without the Aluminium based deodorants with possible links to mental problems
* Acne Control
* Eczema Control
* Rosacea
* Microbeads =  degrade a variety of halogenated compounds including trichloroethylene, benzene, and vinyl chloride

Nasal
* Allergic Rhinitis
* Hypertension
* Migraine

Oral
* Pulmonary =  dilating the blood vessels, decreasing heart workload, and improving heart oxygenation
* Gut = NO down-regulate inflammation, degrade a variety of halogenated compounds incl trichloroethylene, benzene, and vinyl chloride

So how do we encourage growth of this specific bacteria, and not the other odor-causing ones? Or, if given the right circumstances, will this one eventually outcompete the others?

I agree with Dustin, how do we encourage that bacteria? I personally ditched shampoo probably couple of years ago. I just used strong herbal decoction or infusion made with filtered water to avoid chloramines and fluoride and many other toxins in our city water. That alone didn't stop my migraines though.

I use water kefir just this morning and it sure work.
The microbe is found in lake/pond/natural pools and aquaponic setup
Sadly I don't how to culture just this single bacteria, currently my only source is a spray from a pharmaceutical company.
