This thread came up in my e-mail. Maybe something was changed to the first post. Anyway: I think it's the right time to 'bump it up'
As I am sitting on my couch in the corner of the room that's the furthest away from the windows, with my wool blanket over my lap and legs, I feel very comfortable. It's even better when the sun shines in through the (South-East facing) window. On such moments the sun heats my living-room more than the temperature I set the thermostate on (19,5 degrees Celsius), so the central heating doesn't go on.
The living-room is the only room in which the heating works with that thermostat. In all other rooms there are radiator-thermostat-buttons (I hope you understand what I mean), to regulate only that one radiator, and I put all of them on '1', the lowest setting. I don't need real heating in those rooms (the kitchen, my bedroom, the 'guest room' and the utility room) , because I only enter them when I am busy doing something, or when I (go to) sleep.
I have to add: I live in a ground-floor apartment. I have neighbours left, right and above me. Maybe they heat my apartment, at least they give me 'insulation'.
