This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in woodland care.

For this BB, you will grow at least one pound each of shiitakes, enokitakes, and oyster mushrooms indoors!

(source: eBay.com)

The requirements for this BB are to do the following:
     o you inoculate your medium
o harvest at least a a pound each of shiitakes, enokitakes, and oyster mushrooms
     o this must be indoors

To get certified for this BB, post the following:
o pic of inoculated medium for each mushroom type (and describe what the medium is)
o action shot of harvesting each of the mushrooms
o scale showing at least a pound each of shiitakes, enokitakes, and oyster mushrooms

Long slow trek. Blue oyster mushroom, newspaper based cat litter with alfalfa pellets. Spreading out medium in toilet paper tubes. As they are ready to harvest I'm putting them in a paper bag in the fridge.

The glass is neither half full or half empty. It is too big. But this tiny ad is just right:
