This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Greywater and Willow Feeders.

For this Badge Bit you will build an indoor willow feeder.  You may get extra points in Electricity if you include a fan.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
inside of a house that’s heated in the winter
not a shed, or other kind of out-building
includes a urine diverter, which drains to a mulch pit with at least one willow tree
creating mulch pits are a different BB
includes some system to ensure willow feeder is odorless
air from the room moves into the “box” and then outside (fan, stack effect, trombe wall, etc)
includes a fly trap on the vent
box containing willow feeder can is relatively air tight
when the seat lid is down, a very small amount of air will be able to move into the box and out the vent
the lid and seat might need to be modified to to have a smaller air gap to improve the “seal”
three cans (one active and two spares), each has
       24 gallon or larger capacity
a four inch ventilator (with jagged bottom) on side
at least six inches of sawdust and/or wood chips in the bottom
show where two empty cans are standing by for future use
includes a hand crafted, laminated information sheet that details how a willow feeder works on one side and how to deal with shark week on the other side. Lots of drawings.

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must show proof of the following (as pictures or a video < 2 mins):
 - show before, progress, and after of building an indoor willow feeder
 - demonstrate that it meets the above requirements

Hey, I have built one today, but we're renting and will never be able to drain into a mulch pit by pipe. Can I prove that we are emptying the urine can into one to get certified?
For the same reason, we plan on taking our poop out in smaller buckets, emptying them into larger containers to store for the two years. Does that count? It is not 24 gallon inside the willow feeder and it never will be. I hope I can get certified anyway, I put a lot of work into it and while it was an environmental decision of course, I would love to get some permie credit for it

As I read the requirements, it has to be 24 gallons per container and needs to go to a mulch pit.  Sorry :(
