I have a question about the requirements for this BB. It says "pockets," but not how many. Is one pocket sufficient, or shall I submit the following for the basic skirt BB instead? The closure fold could be used to hide a hand or another object, but it is not a true second pocket. *

I sewed a six-gore, lined, fitted skirt with a pocket! I used 100% cotton thread and 100% cotton fabric for both the outer skirt and lining. I drafted the pattern using this as a guide: Learn to Make an 8 Gore Skirt with Rhonda Buss and this YouTube video Adding Pockets to ALL my dresses by Morgan Donner for the pocket. I discovered in the course of sewing that my original pocket was too small and unsupported, so I drafted a new one. I came up with a closure design using a folded triangle of fabric and a hook and eye so that I didn't have to use a zipper. When the skirt was nearly done, I found that the waist was too big and the hips too small, so I put in three pleats at the waist and let out some of the seams lower down. To keep the closure triangle from bulging out, I closed the bottom corner with mattress stitching. It took an enormous amount of fiddling and adjusting to get this skirt to fit just right, but it was extremely satisfying to make a truly tailored garment.

* Deciding that 1 is probably not a quantity of pockets and that it would be useful to have a smaller, concealed pocket for keys, money, etc. where it wouldn't scratch my cellphone, I used the cotton lining cabbage and some cotton thread to sew a little pocket into the waist.
