After visiting a 'medieval fair' and a museum on how people lived here in prehistorical times, I think of making a real re-enactment costume (in a style that can be that of a poor small farm woman during many ages). The shoes are fairly easy. They are not sewn together, sole and upper part are one piece. That piece of leather (or fur) is cut in such a way it can be gathered with a leather string so it closes over the foot.
My question is: would a pair of such shoes count for this BB?
Staff note (Opalyn Rose) :

I’d love to see a photo of what you are thinking of making.

I knitted the upper/inner for these from 100% handspun wool (the undyed is my first plied yarn :D and the dyed from my local LYS owner!), the soles are from leather offcuts I got from a furniture maker. I used scrap cotton yarn leftover from a blanket project to sew the soles on.

I deliberately knitted there with a wide toebox as I have pizza slice feet (skinny ankles, very broad foot) and they have been affectionately dubbed as my hobbit slippers :)

Over the weekend, I made my family moccasins out of elk hide. I used scissors, a leather awl, a leather needle, paper for a template, white buckskin trim, and gold elk hide. No glues. My kids have been wanting me to make them each a pair since I made some for myself. It took about the same amount of time for me to make 3 pairs compared to the first time I made 1 pair for myself!

Minimum requirements:
