This is Severus Snape. For three days in a row, he has had pretty bad headaches at night. He becomes sensitive to noise and lights when they come. Rather than push pills, which he has a difficult time swallowing, he asked for "vudu" which means herbs and whatever else I've got up my sleeve.

The third day, we tried a glycerite I made for kids' headaches. It has linden flower, lemon balm and sage, which have been soaked in a 30% water, 50% vegetable Glycerin, 20% real vanilla menstrum. It tastes good as far as herbal remedies go, and my kids enjoy it. I recommended a TBSP, taken chased with water, repeated every 15 minutes til the headache was gone.

This is what Severus did. Additionally, I used frankincense and peppermint essential oils on him, and a little reiki over his forehead and suboccipital regions.

Not only did the headache cease before bedtime, it also did not recur the 4th day. I suspect food triggers of these headaches, however that will require further research. For now, we know what helps when them when they come.
