Since Watson tasks can be performed on yourself, here is my recent story of chronic eczema. Pseudonym: Nikki

Several years ago, I developed eczema on one finger. I had flare-ups throughout the year with itchy bumps that sometimes oozed a clear liquid and sometimes were scaly dry. For the most part, I just dealt with symptoms of flare-ups rather than trying to heal it. I learned by accident that cayenne pepper got rid of the itchiness. Mostly, I relied on conventional treatments like A&D ointment.

Early last year, the eczema got significantly worse. It spread across my whole palm and on multiple fingers. The itchy bumps didn't show up well in a photograph, but I tried to show the other symptoms. Deep painful cracks formed, and my skin peeled and shed no matter how much it was moisturized. It felt like my skin repelled all moisture.

Things I first tried for relief and healing:
1) Cut out wheat and dairy, since other symptoms pointed toward an intolerance to those.
2) Took fragrance-free soap with me so I wouldn't need to use soap that was irritating when out and about.
3) Stayed lathered with various oils, salves, and shea butter, some handmade by me and some store-bought.

I saw no improvement for many months until I implemented these:
1) Went through “limbic system rewiring” training, which led to a change in mindset and a reduction in stress
2) Upped my iron levels. Blood tests showed that I was very iron deficient. I've been taking a low dose iron supplement and have changed my diet to consume more iron and cofactors that help make iron more bioavailable, such as vitamin C and beta-carotene.
3) Made an oil with rosehips and rose petals for the vitamin C and skin soothing properties. I turned part of the oil into a sugar scrub and part into a salve. The scrub felt fantastic when my hands were so itchy, and the salve seemed to make more difference than other infused oils I had used.

My hand has no sign of eczema! No bumps, cracks, itchiness, or dry skin. It feels awesome.
