Minimum requirements:
  - Prove you have helped your friend with their type 2 diabetes
  - Provide "Hosted" care where your friend moves into your place to be cared for
     - Provide an environment (clothing, bedding, shelter) with very low toxins
     - Provide permaculture food and drink for your friend
  - Refer to them by a number or pseudonym that you will continue to use for that friend throughout the Natural Medicine badge

To document completion of the BB, provide the following:
  - Your friend's pseudonym
  - The environment you provided (clothing, bedding, shelter)
  - The permaculture food and drink you provided for your friend

Herb is a type 2 diabetic since 1996. He's been on a very wide range of medications over the years and up until the pandemic when supply chains began breaking down; he was against herbal medication changes until recently.

The positive:
He has permitted me to accompany him to his Dr. appointments and the 3 of us have officially gotten him off of 1 short term insulin, and 2 pills - all replaced by 1 herb, astragalus. (This herb works for Herb and his other pre- existing conditions; please do your own research) Full disclosure Herb does not test at each meal. Ok, he never tests. I guess what I'm saying is there's some hope for all, imagine how much better he would be if he did.

The food:
Herb is a very stubborn person. I have NOT been able to convince him to give up store bought cereal. He insists on nightly desert, mostly ice cream. I gave up on this one but hope is still out on cereal.

Other meals are quite balanced and made with as close to organic or better as we can manage. All meats are harvested by me or my husband or grown locally by my uncle. We try to get our veggies locally in season and preserve what we don't grow. Current favorite is cuccs to Martha's dismay.

Herb does add cinnamon to his cereal most mornings...

Environment:

In December of last year a water drop system was installed. We are all drinking good water now.

All clothing, sheets and towels are washed in sodium bicarbinate, no softeners are used, cleaning is done with sodium bicarbinate, citric acid and elbow grease. Floors are vacuumed with a hepa and hard floors are steam mopped.

No date on this one so I rolled the screen to the day Herb sent it to me. Remember he does not test and we dropped 3 meds!!! All of us are relieved. Fewer side effects now too!
