Martha was diagnosed with A.L.L. leukemia in late April. (A very aggressive blood cancer *please NO comments about her decision for treatments- blood cancer is very different from hard tumors)

Once released from the hospital she moved into a section of the house that was completely redone for her safety. Livingroom carpet that was 24 years old was replaced and then professionally cleaned . A fancy stand alone air cleaner was installed to filter viruses, bacteria and funguses as her treatments regularly wipe her immune system to nothing. All plants were removed from the house because fungus grows in soil.
Forced air ducts were cleaned and sanitized. Dryer vents were cleaned to assist in dust removal. All walls and ceilings were washed. Bathroom fans were dismantled and scrubbed. Rugs were vacuumed, beaten and sunned. Purchased a hepa filter vaccuum.

Bathrooms are cleaned with cirtic acid and sodium bicarbinate and hard floors are steam mopped. Clothing, bedding and towels are washed in sodium bicarbinate with no softeners as her skin has become quite delicate. Deep clean was preformed in kitchen including the dishes, fridge, freezer (inside and out)

She only eats from glass, stainless steel and cast iron. Water is filtered in a water drop system and the city water has been checked personally for contamination.

Food is not 100% organic or better but do do the best we can, shop locally for veggies do some foraging as time permits and all meat has been harvested by me or my husband or grown locally by my uncle. She is on a limited diet requiring all foods to be cooked and she says the hardest one right now cucumbers.

For mental well being we keep the bird feeders full and quit chasing the rabbits🤣  to my dismay. Visitors are extremely limited and veted for her safety.

Martha has remained free from secondary infections!! She received the incredible news that she is in complete remission at this time and does not need a transplant; however, chemo must continue for some time still.

Per Martha "You don't think it will happen to you. My life is completely upside down. I'm unbelievably grateful for all the love and support that I have received already. I doubt I would be doing this well without it. Food would be a huge challenge because somedays I'm too weak to cook anything and can barely stand up. Bless them."
