Austin’s kimchi making workshop was fantastic. His instruction was very informative and thorough. He answered all my questions before I even asked them! I highly recommend this workshop. --Hilary

What does a Fermenters Club Virtual Do-it-Together Workshop look like?

Our unique interactive format is the next best thing to learning in person! We teach you about food fermentation, demonstrate a particular food tradition, and then we make it together, all from the comfort of your own kitchen.  The instructor will inspect your creation to help give you confidence that your ferment will be successful and delicious!
  • Recipes & Shopping List will be sent to you upon registration so you can prepare for the workshop.
  • Learn: We’ll explain the basics of food fermentation and have a brief discussion about all its benefits.
  • Live Demo: We’ll show you how to make fermented foods, with presentation materials and multiple camera angles.
  • Lasts 2 hours, including Q&A and inspection of your dish
  • Fermentation Kits to accompany the workshop are available (depending on subject)

  • It's like watching a cooking show where you can participate and ask questions, live!

"Austin is a great teacher! He’s very personable and attentive. The class was very casual in terms of asking questions during the session. He walked through every step which really added to the learning experience. I would highly recommend taking this class or any other with Austin. And every day I watch my cabbage, carrots and radish, turn into kimchi!" -- Gina

With multiple angles and views so you can see what we're making close up, it's like you're on a live cooking show! (from miso workshop)

We take you through the basics of fermented foods, with a comprehensive multimedia experience.
