This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Natural Medicine.

For this BB, you will create an infusion of marshmallow root. Infusion is a method of extracting desired compounds from plant material by steeping the material in hot or cold water, depending on the plant and its attributes.

To show you’ve completed this Badge Bit, you must post:
- a picture of your marshmallow root being harvested
- a picture of the infusion being made
- a picture of the finished infusion

I use mallow for it's mostening properties, especially in winter to soften the impact of the fiery herbs i drink in my  tea blends. I did boil this longer, similar to a decoction, as it's the root and not the leaves of the plant.

Mallow grows like crazy in my yard, so I thought I'd see about making an infusion of its roots.
