This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Natural Medicine.

For this BB, you will create an infusion of mullein leaf or root. Infusion is a method of extracting desired compounds from plant material by steeping the material in hot or cold water, depending on the plant and its attributes.

-- Please note this plant looks similar to Foxglove. Which is extremely poisonous.

To show you’ve completed this Badge Bit, you must post a picture or video of:
- your plants being harvested
- you making the infusion
- the finished  infusion

I made dried mullein leaf infusion.  I really didn't like it even with a spoon full of honey added it was very bitter and a flavor I disliked, even moreso than the dandelion root decoction, so it is unlikely I'll try it again. If others have a different experience I'd love to hear about it.

Note: not mullien. Believed to be poisonous foxglove.

this is supposed to be a surprise, but it smells like a tiny ad:
