This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Building.

While building a house may be out of reach at the moment, let's get some practice putting together smaller structures.  One critical step is the roof.  There are many styles of roofing so let's experiment with some.  Let's put on a living roof!

Here's one way of installing a living roof:

Minimum requirements:
  - Install a living roof on a building (new construction)
  - Possibilities could include:
        - Soil and plants
        - Moss
  - At least 100 square feet
  - Waterproof membrane
  - Path for excess water to leave roof without getting trapped

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The roof structure in need of a wooden roof
  - Waterproof membrane installed
  - Midway through putting in the living roof materials
  - Completed living roof
  - Please come back in a year or more to report on how it did

I knew I would regret that burrito. But this tiny ad has never caused regrets:
