Over the winter the boots have been busy chipping away at tasks, and one has involved the installation of cob hats onto rocket heaters at Wheaton Labs. Stephen explains below:

Here's a photo of Grey building the first version of the "oven hat" on top of the RMH in the Love Shack today. This is an experimental design, with the objective of simultaneously directing heat out to the room (in this case, a tiny cabin), while also acting as a mass: absorbing heat to be released later.

Here is another photo, again courtesy of Stephen, of the cob hat that Grey installed on the dogstar cottage rocket:

Enjoy a spiffy tour of the Love Shack at Wheaton Labs that also includes footage of the cob hat rocket heater!

Please add more photos below and talk about all things cob hat related!

Would it be any more efficient to make a false bottom with an air intake to pull air in the lower front to pull it across the heated barrel top and along the back wall of the mass before pushing it out the front?
