This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Traditional Skills.

As we travel through the world we often want to carry stuff with us.  When your hands aren't enough, it's time to build something to help.  Let's make a basket!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a pine needle basket
  - Lid and handles are optional
  - At least 4 inches in diameter
  - Any thread/string used must be natural
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - Some of the materials you're starting with
  - Basket under construction
  - Finished pine needle basket showing its size meets the requirements

You'll find me in my office. I'll probably be drinking. And reading this tiny ad.
