The Roxy Theater seeks to make the world a better place through the power of cinema, education, and community. Programs include year-round cinematic and cultural programming at the Roxy, the annual International Wildlife Film Festival, the Montana Film Festival, Camp Horror, Kiddomatic, and educational programs under the Roxy Film Academy. The Roxy Film Academy is a leader in the filmmaking community and provides education for youth, production support, promotion and excellence in film exhibition for Montana films and filmmakers.

The Roxy hosts screenings and events seven days a week including new releases nightly and a monthly calendar of independent, foreign and classic films, theater, and community events. Enjoy great films with triple-organic popcorn, beer and wine and Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound in our three theaters.

Well, back in 2013, this post in the organic restaurant thread caught my eye:

Chris Sand wrote:The Roxy Theater (718 S. Higgins) serves organic/GMO free popcorn.

1. They use only Lifeline organic butter (from Victor, MT).
2. Organic safflower oil (and Endangered Species chocolate bars) from the Missoula Food Co-op.
3. Their organic popcorn kernals are bought at The Good Food Store.

I still haven't been myself, though I know a couple who goes regularly. They say about half of the movies are very good, and about half are not so good in their opinion.

This week, there is a special movie on Wednesday at the Roxy.

Wednesday, 6/25 (2014). The Sustainable Business Council is hosting "Fresh!" This film celebrates the farmers, workers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system, and focuses on the positive solutions to our food system problems.

They have some pretty good shows going on. There's a show today in Missoula that looks really cool about land stewardship
