And here I was, wondering what my kids could buy me for Christmas. typically, I ask for seeds, trees etc. Now, here are some really great gifts: Durable and affordable.
That's the way ah ha, ah ha I like them.
I have the hori hori, which is truly wonderful. A few years ago, while rototilling a new area to make a garden, I found a garden knife, with the recurved blade. I sharpened it and removed the grime on the handle. Because it is beveled on both sides, I'm thinking of using it for grafting, my new interest. These are really solid tools. I believe in buying good quality once rather than cheap stuff: It is actually more economical because they will last you a lifetime [if you don't lose them]

Welcome Dre. Those are mighty fine tools. I bought two of the headlamps a few months ago  to check on the chickens at night. I’ve also used it inside the house for when I don’t feel like turning the light on. I think I’ve only had to charge it twice. The charge stays quite a bit. Recently I’ve started wearing it like a headband,  so I’m not blinding my husband when he talks to me. I think it looks a lot flattering, but I nstead of a ribbon, I have a lamp. 🎀

The moment we've all been waiting for: WE HAVE A WINNER!

Huge congratulations to

Eric Hanson!!!

I'm pretty sure this was the biggest giveaway we've ever had, with the largest amount of posts. But have no fear if you didn't win--we've got more giveaways coming. In fact, there's a giveaway starting right now for FOUR winners to take home a copy of The Prairie Homestead Cookbook!

And, for those (like me!) really wanting these awesome tools, Dre posted a coupon code up above to use on both amazon and the Truly Garden website:

Now through Xmas 2019!  Use Code TGB2G12019 to Buy Any 2 Truly Garden or Loma Creek Products and Get 1 Free!

Now I've got to scurry off to buy me some more headlamps for my kids and maybe that awesome hand tool set, too! Or maybe another pair of pruning shears...one can never have enough of those, right?
