Forgot to take an action pic of sweeping the floor. So I swept again. Look at the pile! Dang, it's only been one day. That's mud season for you.

Took the rug out to be beaten, and discovered a lovely patch of dirt. Time to sweep!

My son helped me out by videoing me doing the sweeping. Gotta love his narration!

Here's the before picture. I didn't get an after, because my son ran off with the camera to video his hot wheels racing. But, hey, I got the video of me sweeping and it was an either-or thing...

Just to make things easier, and because I'd already taken pictures of having swept the kitchen, here's before and after pictures of having cleaned and swept the kitchen floor

So, now there's a video of me sweeping, and before and after pictures!

The non-carpeted areas were limited, but this shows a pretty good visual on the effort made. Grout clean-up will happen on the weekend.

Swept the kitchen floor last night. Figured I'd take some pictures for this BB. This was one or two days of accumulation. It's honestly a little impressive how much food the kids drop/throw onto the floor every day.

My floor's gotten out of hand.

I was taught that to sweep a floor, you start with the ceiling and move down.  Gravity takes care of those cobwebs, detritus you wipe off the table, and litter that spills out of the litter box.  Once you've got that all sorted, sweeping time!

Had to sweep up the bathroom, getting a BB out of the way seems nice.

The wood shavings are from me spending several hours trying to carve a spoon.

I had a wider shot of all the detritus from my carving attempt, but the phone didn't save it, apparently.

as an extra note — sweeping also brings awareness to the stuff that sticks to the floor and can't be swept and so must be scrubbed up :)

I don't have much floor to sweep (everywhere but the kitchen and bathroom is carpeted), but between a long-haired dog, a cat, and a lot of cooking, the dirt builds up!

I have a feeling my submission above got missed since all I submitted that day have not been responded to.  If I am missing something for it or it doesn't qualify just let me know.  If I'm just getting too antsy just ignore me too.  I can be patient.  ;)  Here is the direct link.  https://permies.com/wiki/pep-bb-nest-sand-sweepfloor#1170807
