I would be happy to share my 19-page English composition paper from 2017 about tornado resistant Earth houses. I compared scientific research on concrete stabilized Earth block houses and rammed-earth. There is a lot of good info on cseb tornado resistant houses. Not much on rammed-earth. My paper includes a five or six page bibliography.

Even if you weren't going to build either of these two styles of houses, the paper can direct you to what you need to do to build a tornado resistant house. This only costs about $500 on a moderate-sized stick-built home. And you need to take into consideration some design features.

What I need in order to post the paper is an open source website to upload It to. Does anyone have suggestions for an open source website for this long paper?

It's not the one I was thinking of but it's open source.

https://www.builditsolar.com is another that's been around forever.

It might depend on what format your doc is in.

I live in tornado alley and plan on building earth sheltered so I'd be interested. I'm doing an earthship inspired house but out of more traditional materials, namely a concrete foundation due to being able to waterproof it better. Very moist clay here, moss grows at the base of trees, I've seen mini geysers come up out of the ground in my garden. An earthen foundation just isn't going to cut it. I'm also looking at resale value in case we need to sell when we get old, which isn't all that far off.

If you need any help converting file type, I'd be glad to do it

Thanks for the links John. Appropedia says anyone can edit pages, the same as Wikipedia. I don't want this as the paper is properly cited and it is doubtful that editors will use citations which will be helpful to builders. So, I'm still seeking a platform for the paper.

Hi Denise! Another possible place to host your book could be the Internet Archive. It's a public platform that people can host and share media on. It's meant to preserve files.

Get in touch with builditsolar then. I think his name is Gary but not sure. It may seem like just some guys site but it's very well known and been around forever.

RE appropedia or any wiki. If it's just a file as an attachment to a single wiki page with a brief description of it, you wouldn't have any worries. I don't think anyone would download it. modify it and re-upload it. At any rate, all wikis track every edit which tends to keep people honest and you can add notes to a page that only other editors can see. If you create a wiki page, it's kinda yours.

There's always google drive, mega.nz and other free web space and then you can share a link here and elsewhere.

Maybe you're looking for something with a little more exposure for your paper than simply sharing it?

Does https://diy.stackexchange.com/ look like a good fit?  I have found many great ideas there.

My library hosted a Zine workshop and I may publish the paper in that format. In the meantime, if you would like me to email you the paper for your own perusal only please email me.
