Someone lent me a guitar - how do I learn classical guitar

I had a splinter in my left hand for a couple of weeks so I couldn't bend my fingers.  I tried to keep practicing right hand patterns but now my finger healed, I suspect I forgot everything I learned about music so far,

How can my brain forget so much so fast?

Had a look at some more guitars.

Choice 1. Save up for cordoba.  It seems a good fit for my hands.

Choice 2. Suzuki parlor that is in need of major repair, very badly bashed up.

I don't feel like I'm progressing as much as would be ideal.  But we have baby chicks in the house that demand half an hour playing every night before bed.  So, even if there is no progress, I still get to enjoy playing.

I might have a line on some lessons near my home.  Not sure the pricing yet.  But maybe half a dozen would get me moving forward again.  It's these darn fast notes and the counting.  Quarter and 8th seem reasonable,  but when we suddenly get 16th mixed in.  

And it's very possible, i might need to switch to tab as i still can't get the hang of music reading.
