Permies.com is like a vast underground cave system. Just when you think, 'I've got the lay of the land'... oops a new passage appears! Found this Forum today. When I first saw the link, I wasn't very clear on what a Forum was. Still not sure how it differs from the other links. I have many skills but navigating the cyber world often finds me lacking. I suppose my post Kentucky Dreaming, I posted in Homesteading/Appalachia should have been posted here. I think only one person has seen it there and I was truly hoping to connect with people in Kentucky as I'm looking at moving there once my house in NC sells. Have to say this is a great community you all have here. I belonged to several Prepping sites but Preppers are not always interested in sustainable living. I'm looking forward to making many new friends on here.
Hi Angelina, welcome! Yes, it's a huge site with lots of little nooks and crannies.
I found your Kentucky Dreaming thread (here it is for other folks if they're interested: Kentucky Dreaming). Looks like 36 people have looked at it already
I also added it to the Appalachia forum so now it's in both forums.
This site is really global so while you might connect with someone nearby, it's just as likely that you'll make strong connections with someone in Canada or France.

Mike thank you for the welcome. There is almost nothing I can't grow. I started gardening with my grandparents when I was 6. I've learned a few tricks in the past 60 years. I will endeavor to share my experience with the community as often as I can.
Some people look down on tiny ads, but this tiny ad thinks tiny ads are the sexiest ads
