Poor raccoon. I know those feels. They suck.
Reminds me of the time we got a free IBC. It had contained molasses and wasn't washed out yet. We were so excited about the find and were planning to rinse it the next day. That night, I kept hearing an awful grinding, rasping sort of sound coming from outside.
The next day, we had a friend over and went to show him our new tank. As we got closer, I noticed the lid was off the top and there was movement inside the tank. Suddenly, the source of the rasping sound from the night became unfortunately clear. I looked in from the top and found a molasses-covered and very distraught raccoon. He'd tried to chew his way out. Luckily, a branch placed in the tank let him crawl out on his own. Sure hope he was okay, I can't imagine getting molasses out of fur is easy. I still feel bad about it.
