I haven't pruned this apple tree for over three years, and I haven't even bent it down for two years. Its peculiarity is that it grows in a hole. These were my early experiments. Now, on the contrary, I plant trees on hills.

I started bending this apple tree too early and it turned into a bonsai.

I continue to make raised beds from oak cuttings. In this one I planted cucumbers, melons, watermelons, and tomatoes. I'll see what grows best.

I also made a bucket for cucumbers with internal watering and without internal watering, I'll see which one will have a better effect

The cucumbers are growing in a bed with internal irrigation, and I planted flowers and peas with them. I can't yet tell the flowers from the weeds, so let them all grow together for now.

I fenced off the raised bed that the chickens were destroying with a high net and planted radishes.

The situation is changing, unfortunately, I had to end things with the chickens and bamboo. I'm glad they went to good people. Sometimes it's hard to part with what you're used to, what you like. But perhaps you shouldn't get attached to anything in this life and you need to understand that nothing in this life belongs to you.

I'm sorry that the chickens and bamboo needed a new home.  So much in this world is temporary, and that can be difficult.

I didn’t bother using a torch to char the handle; instead, I heated it up and applied sunflower oil while it was hot. I installed latches on the door, along with an extra piece for reinforcement—but then the door wouldn’t close! No problem—I cut out a decorative notch to accommodate a shelf, and now everything closes perfectly. The door is sturdy and shuts well; the tabletop has been flame-treated and finished with linseed oil. Time for a test fit. I originally planned to paint the barrel black, but since it’s already a bit gloomy down here in the bomb shelter, I’m leaving it a bright, vibrant blue.

I read that an infrared radiation source is required, and an incandescent bulb is the simplest option. I have a part from a receiver; I’ll add a circuit and build a lamp.

That is quite an elaborate build! What do you plan on storing in that blue barrel? Food and water? Sorry you have to deal with a conflict that isn't yours.  I'm praying it won't hit your property.

Thank you, Anna. Everything is fine; we’ve grown accustomed to this situation—it’s just a matter of constant adaptation. With winter approaching, I need to make sure things are relatively comfortable for my family in the bomb shelter. I had an old barrel—the kind used for motor oil—but I’ve already prepared a proper water container, and now I’ve decided to build a storage box for a small supply of food items, like dry rations tea and sugar. The door will close tightly to protect the contents from dampness, and the wooden top will serve as a table. A metal lamp fitted with an Edison bulb will also add a touch of coziness.
