Name that stitch

I’m probably getting ahead of myself and dreaming of knitting a blanket. I saw this stitch and really like it. Do you know what it’s called? Is it a stick or crochet stitch and could I do it in theory?  Cheers.

It looks like seed stitch, alternating k1 and p1 both front and back.

Seed stitch.  It is knitting and easy to do:

Make sure your row has an even number of stitches.
Knit one (k1) purl one (p1) all the way across.
Turn the work and do the same thing.

Best used for TV, conversations, or long boring lectures.

Interestingly, in the UK this stitch is known as moss stitch which is slightly different across the Atlantic.
If you use an even number of stitches and k1 p1 across all the rows you will get a rib stitch. You either need to use an odd number of stitches and k1 p1 across every row or else k1 p1 one row and p1 k1 on the way back.
Remember, now that you know the two stitches, you can knit anything in theory.

I was watching a film last night and there was Chris Evans sitting opposite Ana de Armas bith wearing knitwear. Chris was wearing a beautiful yet worn Argyll and Ana a big chunky rib jumper. I’ve just started knitting a scarf using English / Fisherman rib and thought - I know how to knit that! Completely missed a crucial part of the plot . . .
