I'd like to skip the pocket rocket method, I plan on doing a test build outside before reassembling inside.
Basic idea is to build a J- Tube, with a ceramic fiber core. If I do a burn and wrap the outside of the barrel(s) with fiberglass insulation (r-13), I think that
should burn the paint off. What is your opinion?
Also, any issue with using fiberglass insulation? I hate
rock wool, and fiberglass is cheap and available (possibly free).
And lastly, is it OK to paint the barrels with black stove paint after they are cleaned? Any concerns or advice on this?
Thanks.
