I have no affiliation with this company whatsoever. I’ve never even bought their products (yet?). However, I wanted to share here because I am intrigued by the idea and thought that maybe it would be useful to other permies. Basically, they sell hardware to adapt electrical EMT tubing for easy & affordable DIY construction of just about ANYTHING. I once built a backyard projector screen frame with hardware from carlofet, but that hardware had only one purpose. So when I stumbled upon this company, I found the potential uses exciting. Anyone have any input on this? Or better yet, has anyone used “Maker Pipe” that can speak from experience on whether it’s worth it? I’m sorry if “electrical” is not the proper forum to post this. I really wasn’t sure where to post this.
Thanks for the links Jonathan. I also had fun looking through the projects. I particularly liked this one of a DIY loom:
from the same site I suppose that if you can get hold of the conduit pipe fairly easily having some strong connectors makes anything possible.....
Sweet. I built a little hoop house-ish thing out of PVC last winter, using those premade PVC building fitting things at the hardware store that are like a cheesy version of what you posted. I did it because I didn't get a shed built in time and I have had the PVC just leaning on the garage for years... It held up to a four foot snow storm!
So just imagine how much better this stuff would be! Thanks!

I didn't do it. You can't prove it. Nobody saw me. The sheep are lying! This tiny ad is my witness!
