While typing, I hit the wrong key and I am stuck here on the forums.

There is no `X` at the top right to close out the screen.

Maybe I hit F12 or another key close to that, I don't know.

Can someone help me figure out how to close the window?

I can move around the forum, I just cannot leave and I need to check my emails.

The ESC key may work.

Try the escape key. It sounds like you told your browser to go full screen.

If that doesn't work, Ctrl-W will close the window. Alt-Tab will let you switch to another application (this assumes you're on Windows...similar key combinations exist for Macs).

With mine, if I hover the mouse in the middle of the very top of the screen, it activates a white X on a black circle which drops down a bit. If I click on it, the screen reverts to normal.

Took me a while to figure it out and I had many very frustrating sessions of hitting the power switch to sort it out before I figured out how to make that X appear.

The F11 key will also toggle you in/out of full-screen mode in most browsers.

Don't be naive about the nature of life on Earth.

Quick question:

Does any one know how to change the temperature on my toolbar (MSN) to my location.

It has someplace in Syria and I have clicked "edit" and changed it though it stay in Syria.

Never paid any attention until today when I was waiting for the temp to warm up so I could hang out laundry.

The "Windows" location is tied to the time zone, so right-clicking on the date/time should allow you to access the settings to change your date/time/time zone, but if you're looking at an MSN widget, that will usually have a separate location setting, tied to something like weather.

I abhor using those toolbars, primarily because they're primary purpose isn't to be useful to you, but to allow Microsoft et. al., to collect information about your computer usage/habits, so they can sell ad space to those who might wish to market to your interests.  If you truly want to know the weather, do your privacy a favor, and just open up a browser tab to weatherunderground.com or weather.com.

Thank you, my date and time is okay.

It says it is a widget and I have tried to edit.  I might look further to see if it has other settings, etc.

Right now it says it is 82'F and Sunny and my location is really 52'F and the sun is just coming up at 7:47 am.

The MSN toolbar can usually be un-installed in settings/apps

I am afraid that is too much for me to do as I might mess something up.

I went in this morning and told it to remove the widget.  Well the temp in Syria is 79'F and sunny at my time 9:26 cst. And my temp is now 72'F.
