Regarding inner peace:
I feel that no one has more contempt for what is happening in the world than me. (My opinion.)....
1. But I had researched for years and had some knowledge of the coming of these current happenings. And because I already had warning, I wasn't put into shock and awe. Therefore, I sleep just fine at night.
2. I no longer follow a lot of this type of material. I already have a somewhat good idea of what the the future holds beyond this. There is no point in researching anymore. I got rid of every single social media account, except Permies. I don't even have a pinterest account. Nothing. Not one. Not one person is shoving propaganda or ads down my throat, unless it is for a rocket mass heater video. And you know what? I sleep fine at night, and for the record, I like rocket mass heaters. Rocket mass heaters help you to sleep well at night.
3. I encourage you to sit back and enjoy seeing ordinary people fight against what is happening in the world,... just throwing their own little wrench in the works. It will help you sleep just fine at night.
4. Grow things in your garden, and make your household more resilient to any bad happenings that may come forth. Thereby, you will sleep fine at night.
5. I've already been knocked down, health-wise, over a year ago, and managed to doctor myself into a healthy person again, through research and strict dietary changes, medicinal herbs and essential oils. I've managed to learn a great deal of alternative medicine over the past year. Therefore, I sleep well at night.
6. I joined a small church 5 years ago, and have an excellent support system in my church family. We pray for each other and care for one another. We have potluck once a month. Therefore, I sleep well at night.
7. Repeat these words: There is no crises. I don't listen to a single ounce of propaganda. Even the people that I used to follow, I realized they were consistently exaggerating the truth to get more shock and awe views. Just don't even trust anyone telling you the news. Just don't watch the news. You watching the news is not going to change the course of history. Never let anyone influence your mind (unless you are on Permies and you WANT them to influence your mind.) Thereby, you will sleep well at night.
8. Be willing to shovel sh*t for a living if the need arose. Currently I work in an office, but being a gal with a farm background, I've got a few skills. Being willing to work at whatever work I can find helps me to sleep at night.
9. I keep my cost of living at an all time low. No cable. No landline. Puretalk mobile (cheap) on flip phone. No streaming subscriptions. No car loan. No doctoring for the fun of it. I live in a small house that was relatively cheap. All renovations on the inside were completed by yours truly. No buying things on credit. No big fancy vacations. No timeshares in Florida. No hiring everything done that I can do myself. No investing in bitcoin. I studied Dave Ramsey 15 yrs ago and he is a smart cookie. Get rid of the debt, and don't be a slave to the system. I shake my head at the people who try to keep up with the Jones. It is unnecessary and not worth it. My goal is to finish paying off the mortgage and be debt free. Am I there yet? Not even close, but that goal helps me to sleep at night.
10. Every once in a while, and sometimes more often than not, we all experience hardship. Last year a giant tree fell on my roof. A few weeks ago, a fox ate three of my favorite chickens. It was sad. Last week, my rusty back brake caliper seized up in my truck. I knew it would be a costly repair, and having had ligament surgery this year, I was in no shape to fix it myself. I paid the money, picked up my truck and went on with life. I look at it from the perspective that I can now trust my vehicle to get me around because my brakes are fixed. Will that set me back? Absolutely. Do I care? No, not really. This stuff happens and I get by despite it. I've been around the block and I understand that no matter what happens, my life will go on, and I will sleep well at night.
11. Never worry about future pandemics, future riots, future crime, future shortages, future globalist takeovers. It does not pay. Know that plenty of others will do your worrying for you. There is truth and peace in that. Plus worrying makes you sick. If you are sick, you can accomplish nothing. If you accomplish nothing, how on earth will you accomplish number 12 below?
12. Keep planning for the future. Once you give up, you're done for. Keep making your plans. Keep working towards your goals. If your goals are small, that is A-Okay. You just need goals, even if it something simple, like "I plan to bring a lunch with me to work each day this year to save money." Then even if you miss a day, you are still A-Okay because overall, you are working towards your goal. Maybe your plan is to learn to make sauerkraut, or sourdough bread, or soap. Maybe your plan is to hang insulated curtains in one room to make it easier to heat and cool. Perhaps you want to expand that container garden on your deck. Whatever your goal is, it will help you to sleep at night. Keep plugging away at that silly little garden.
