I am planning a food hedge and a Geoff Lawton style swale based food forest starting in the spring. I would like to purchase locally as much as possible. Any recommendations on local growers / suppliers?

I suppose it depends on what you mean by local, but you really have tons of options in Orgeon:

And those are just my favorites! There are easily dozens more.

If your hedges and planting are getting to larger numbers (50+), you should also look at the local wholesale/commercial options:

Depending upon the quantity that you need to order, you might want to look into http://willamettenurseries.com/

They have a lot of variety in standard and and clonal root stocks at very good pricing and they have exceptional customer service. I just received some apple rootstock the other day and I am very happy with it and would have no hesitation ordering from them again.

Plus, Beaver Lake Nursery - though is that one wholesale or retail?
