Hey guys,

I submitted my first couple of badges this week and one was submitted as an "edge-case" with a request for more information.

I edited the post with requested information, but couldn't see any re-submit button anywhere. From what I've seen from other people who have posted questions about re-submission, I'm guessing that there isn't one and that you should just wait for re-approval. That's not a problem, and I don't mind waiting, but I just wanted to make a suggestion to potentially add a re-submission button to the edit feature in badge forums if it's not too difficult.

Feel free to reject the idea, I just thought it might help people in future who have felt similarly confused.

Adding a link for the BB needing submission would help:

Sorry Anne, thanks for that.

I mainly just wanted to make the thread to suggest a re-submission function, not worried about fast tracking the review of mine!

First off, on every post there's a "report" button that allows you to raise it to the attention of staff. You can use that if you want to report a spammer or someone being jerky or get a second look at something or whatever.

Second, the really correct way to handle this is to resubmit a new post that will meet the criteria of the BB rather than editing the old one. I totally understand the impulse not to clutter up the threads with duplicates, but there are a number of (mostly boring) reasons that the extra post is better.

That makes sense. Like you said I had to urge to limit the post to 1 per submission as some of the photo heavy threads are very lengthy/heavy.

I'm sure there's something about this on the original SKIP explanation post that I probably missed, so I'll go back and have a re-read first

Hitting the Report Button would act very much like a re-submission Button even though it has other functions.

Is this acceptable? I don't want people to think I'm abusing the report button (I report a lot of spambots with it already, haha)

Very much acceptable as Christopher explained.  Actually that is how most folks do it.

Personally, I would submit a new post.  The edit and report alerts moderation staff, which are not the skip team (although there is overlap).

A new post alerts the skip team which is more than just the moderation team. So you have more people able to look at it.

Anything that makes it difficult for the person to approve will cause delays.  For example, if the new post only includes the edits, now the person has to find old post...extra work and the volunteer might pass it by and do an easier one, or ...

Make new post with the entirety of what you need to pass the bb is the second easiest path.

First easiest, double check the requirements and make it really easy for the first submission to be approved.
