So i am not so tech-savvy and prefer simple and non-wiring stuff so this neat
solar heater idea caught my eye a few years ago. You build basically a shallow box, fill it with rows of empty soda cans (hole stabbed through the bottom), leave some room top and bottom, paint the whole thing black inside, top it with plexiglass. Theres a hole in the bottom corner for cool air intake and a hole at the top opposite corner for hot air to go out. ((Example pic:

Now what i most always see it used for was house heating. Pulls the air from outside, pulls it in and thru the cans and heats it, thru a pipe into the house.
Of
course heating the air isnt that efficient... plus "gick"y heated paint air coming from the box. Not so nice. Although i am sure someone with more knowhow in this space has ideas for the same thing but less "gick".
But my idea i got the other day is to take this idea, using the recycled soda cans and all, but you take the hot air pipe and put it through the wall into a
RMH style bench. Then the air doesnt pipe into the house, its in the pipe in the bench, thus heating the bench without bringing the gick in for you to breath. Then the pipe goes through the bench and instead of venting it outside you pipe it back into the
solar box at the bottom cold air intake hole. The air heating and cooling
should, in my theory, keep the air circulating.
And like they did at the lab with the
RMH and installing the guillatine (sp??) At the intake where the hot air goes into the bench. So when you dont want it to heat up more or not have the air flow and possibly lose mass heat you just close the guillatine.
I have a doodle i penciled up that i can try to post but i hope someone can tell me if this is plausably a good idea or not. And maybe this will catch the interest of someone with sometime on their hands and knows how to do that computer graphic draw thing... ya i dunno what its called but the blueprint pic kind of thing. Lol i said i am not so tech savvy!
I was thinking if this was plausable then someone could mess with ideas of how to turn it into a
husp friendly heating idea. For heating home or cooking. I can see how having several boxes piped to some sort of
oven would be super cool for cooking!
Cant wait for some feedback (:
