Batchrocket.eu is offline, the site has been hacked following a massive attack on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th.

The webmaster is looking into the problem, it could take some time to get it online again. Mostly because the webmaster is a volunteer, with a busy professional job in a very different field. On top of that, the site is/was running on a server of a private person.

I'll keep you posted about developments.

I discovered this on the 8th.
I thought it was my computer, but now I know what really happened!
Hoping you get this back online soon.

Dear readers, one of you lot, Sebastian Köln, offered to retrieve the batchrocket site from archive.org and having it running on his server awaiting a more permanent solution.

At the moment it isn't complete, some of the links aren't working properly but most of the information is there. The latest information about DSR3 and Shorty core isn't, but that was only available in the Dutch version anyway.

You do need to have a look? Go to https://batchrocket.artisan-ma.net/en/

Any relevant changes of the situation will be announced here. In short: I'll keep you posted.

Hoo Ray, the site is back online!
Thank you, Sebastian, for helping keep this information available.
I bookmarked the new address so I can easily access it.

Sebastian found the source of the broken links and implemented a fix. As far as I can see, all pages are properly linked now.
What a luxury.

The article about the DSR3 and the Shorty core in the Dutch version are reinstated. Google Translate is able to provide a passable translation.

If others are in a similar situation, leave a comment with the size of your website (and other requirements) here.

I can see that, I am getting the attacks now also. Someone tried to transfer my domain (which is locked, so no issue there). There are also the usual attempts of hijacking PHP.
Unfortunately for the attackers, there is no PHP (or any other scripting language) to be found on this server.

So the "domain takeover attempt" was a poorly phrased email by the company that provides domain service to my hosting provider because they are apparently doing some restructuring.

The search on batchrocket.artisan-ma.net is not working, as is the comment form. But those are not the most important parts.

As it is, a copy of the site is running on a server in France. The address batchrocket.eu is pointing to that server now, but the safety certificate isn't in place yet. The site is accessible, although without https.

The batchrocket.eu site is running as complete as it can be, thanks to Sebastian. The DNS server is pointing to the copy now, the certificate is in place and recognized. Even the temporarily address is pointing to the site copy.

What need to be done next is choosing a Static Site Generator and rebuilding the site. The whole process could take quite some time, but it need to be done in order to be able to adjust and modify the site from home in an easy way. Which is meant as an ongoing process, due to the aim to add other designs and applications when relevant.

That's a very big dog. I think I want to go home now and hug this tiny ad:
grow your own garden and build your own home in the gardening gardeners program
