This documentary is all about the "doomsday vault" that is a multi million dollar seed bank deep inside an arctic mountain!! Or, the "Frozen Garden of Eden" as some people say. It goes into the immensely important topic of the sometimes frightening future of our seeds and food. Here is the trailer:

Here is vimeo's little blurb:

"In this full length documentary agriculture pioneer Cary Fowler races against time to protect the future of our food. Gene banks of the world are crumbling, crop failures are producing starvation inspired rioting, and the accelerating effects of climate change are already affecting farmers globally. But Fowler's journey, and our own, is just beginning: From Rome to Russia and, finally, a remote island under the Arctic Circle, Fowler's passionate and personal journey may hold the key to saving the one resource we cannot live without: our seeds." - vimeo blurb

So the catch is, this documentary will only be online via the web on October 30th, 2014 at 7pm CST. Your secret link will be emailed to you when you register. But it's FREE!!!

When you click on the link to sign up for the viewing, it takes you to a landing page where they have a "special offer". An online seed saving "expedition". Special price is only $27. Is it worth it? I don't know anything about these people. I would like to know more about saving seeds, but if I can get the info from a book at an AGWAY for $9.95, I'd just as soon do that. Thoughts?

Try again.
My browser crashed (common out here in the woods), restarted, running smoothly.

Yay! I am glad everyone got to see it! I took notes and will try to write up a summary for people who didn't get to see it.

I must have registered too late, but thanks to Cassie was able to get access.
Since it was during the middle of the day here in Australia and I was at work, I have saved it offline to watch with the wife this weekend
