I was a much younger man the first time I saw this photo. My reaction to it then -- as I recall -- was very different from my reaction this time, which is pretty much "Stobs! Splinters! Abrasions! Ouch! Put on more clothing, are ye daft?!?"

We lived in a log cabin and heated with wood in the Yukon for much of my childhood, so I have plenty of vivid sense memories about the different ways you can get painfully wounded while felling, limbing, bucking, hauling, and stacking trees. Naked lumberjacking doesn't even look sexy to me now, it just makes me cringe and want to cry.
