I started with a terracotta saucer from a pot long since gone. I used rocks and twigs from around the garden, and just kept adding until it looked right. My daughter figured we should add some flowers so that the bees could eat and drink at the same time.

I have some charcoal soaking in buckets with water and urine and bees keep coming there. I'm guessing to drink.

So I made one watering hole with charcoal and then I tried making a puddle with gravel.

When I notice bees are attracted to my urine, I generally figure it's time to check my blood sugars and the amount of carbohydrate in my diet.

My new pollinator garden is buzzing with bees and other friends, so I made them a watering station.
