Drawer glides identification help needed

I was at ReStore, and found a bunch of drawer glides similar to the types I have already bought. There was 40 of them there, so I took the whole pile. The kitchen in our new home will be cabinetry I make that is all lower drawers, that extend quite a long way out from under deep countertops. So I got them home, started playing with them, WTF. How do they work? Each glide has a smaller piece that goes in it, but I don't see how. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

If anyone knows either
A) what brand these are so I can look them up
or  
B) how to make them work together in a drawer build
I'd LOVE to hear it...

Not sure what I'm missing here. Nice set of hardware. There was a lot of stuff that looked like a big doctor's office had been gutted, possible it came from there.

Nice drawer slides Pearl!  It's a bit hard to tell from the photo but it looks like you have the correct pieces.  There are normally three pieces in a heavy duty full extension drawer slide like this.  The biggest outer part that attaches to the cabinet, the smallest one that attaches to the drawer, and the middle one that is along for the ride and holds all the ball bearings.  It's normal to be able to remove the little one so you can remove the drawers from the cabinets.  All you should need to reinstall them is to line them up right and shove them back into their assemblage.  

First off, the small one's flat side (mounting surface) faces the opposite way from the big piece's flat mounting side.  Secondly, the small one has two ends, one with a bent metal or plastic end that covers up the end a bit and the other is more open.  The open end inserts into the other slide pieces.  The closed off end will eventually be at the front of the drawer.

There are black plastic release clips on the little piece.  They "should" allow you to reassemble the slide (or in the future - install the drawer) without manipulating them at all.  Once the slide is assembled though, those clips need to be toggled to let the drawer slide be pulled apart.

If I'm seeing things correctly, the second to the bottom piece needs to be flipped over and turned left for right and then it should slide into the top piece from the left side.  Good luck!

Sounds a lot like what I was trying. I have similar glides that I have never had issues with.

Looks like, now that I see how they work correctly, someone greased the smaller parts with some weird lubricant that solidified badly, hard to see, but can be felt, that's part of what I was tangling up on. Wasn't sure how hard to jam them since I wasn't sure I had them right, (shouldn't have to jam them at all) and that was making it weirder. I'll degrease all those small rails.

And wow, do these extend nicely! When fully extended the glide is 44 inches from back to front! Awesome pile of hardware!!

My pleasure!  They often have some thick lube on them that I think is supposed to stay there for the bearings.  If you degrease them, be sure to put something back on to keep them lubed.  Enjoy!

It's not on the bearings, It's on the smaller slide edges. And if I had to hazard a guess what it is, I'd say vegetable oil that has been there for over 10 years. Not good stuff. I'll hit them with silicone when they are clean. I think someone put something random on to make them run better, and it went rancid and solid.

Just dealt with that stack, counts out at 45 of the big parts, 41 just need a brushing to get grit out of them, 4 need a bit more clean up, they got hit with overspray of paint it looks like.  59 of the small slides, all with the plastic release intact. They are soaking in the tub right now to clean off the bad grease, will get regreased.
