I am glad the post is appreciated. I just loved seeing the Science Guy pissed off about a topic that he is appalled at resistance to. Imagine cut scenes of Mr. Wizard where the titular character lit a smoke and started going off on Flat Earthers or Young Earth Creationists.

It just tickled me, and I thought I would share.

And as we know that this is the Cider Press, when I tell someone to let 'er rip, I know that they know that I mean "within the appropriate bounds of the Cider Press, unless you feel like losing some apples."

It is perfectly possible to be polite, respectful, and honest without incurring penalty. And we aren't castigated for profanity, so it's possible to be extremely emphatic, too.

That was a good laugh seeing Bill outside the normal context! Obviously Bill's message was the same as before, but his presentation was surely different! Ever saw the video clip of Mr. Rogers flipping off the camera? It's just something totally alien to our expectations. Here's another example, of Wayne Brady (who was typecast as a sweet, gentle person from his time on Whose Line Is It Anyway and his follow-up daytime talk show, he was the comedy/talk show equivalent of Mr. Rogers:

Please note: foul launguage, violence, and adult situations in this video!

I had not! I had to go look it up. I saw the picture first and thought, "Was he singing 'Where is Thumbkin'?"

Indeed he was!

FYI the Bill Nye clip was just one of several on "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" where John had Bill do several skits the episode was about the Green New Deal

Here is the full episode if anyone wants to check it out.
