RMS stove but with another 55 gallon drum as the 'pre-burn chamber'

I have plenty of 55 gallon steel drums and a welder but all my wood is 2x4 lumber and chopped up pallets. So I would have a 55 gallon drum with a hatch to load the wood with a pipe going to another 55 gallon drum with the conventional RMS flue going to the mass part of the RMS as shown here:

Hi Dan,  Metal that is insulated is generally not recommended for a rocket stove as with the very high temperatures they can get to, will most likely eat it away, spalling and disintegrating very rapidly. Have you thought of something like this instead?  wood stove kit

Hi Dan, welcome to Permies!  Have you seen the Batch Box RMH's?  They sound a bit like what you're proposing.  Maybe there's some things in those designs that could guide your design.
