Can anyone recommend a good natural toothpaste and mouthwash that does not have mint or cinnamon as an ingredient?  I told our daughter that an easy toothpaste would be to use coconut oil with baking soda mixed together.  She is just not into making her own.

Any suggestions?

The company Auromere makes natural clay based toothpastes and they have a mint free version. Their stuff is very nice in my experience

It's been a while I've been using the only recipe for toothpaste I've ever read about. All you need is:

(please read my warning after the ingredient list)

40g calcium carbonate
10g white clay
15g powdered thyme
10g common sage

Warning: the book I got this from say to not use it when pregnant or breastfeeding, and that it's OK to use for kids older than 6.

Use some kind of fine grinder to get a nice powder. Wet the toothbrush, and brush your teeth as usual.

Just don't use it when pregnant or breastfeeding; it's also OK for kids older than 6.

I sometimes  use plain baking soda or plain salt. Can't be any easier than that...  when I was feeling fancy, I put a drop of food safe essential oil in my little jam jar on the bathroom countert. I used mint, but orange oil, clove oil etc would also work. Maybe even vanilla or mint extract. No stirring required really. Just dip a damp toothbrush very lightly in the top of the powder.

If you are looking to buy one b/c she won't use homemade, Tom's of Maine has a strawberry flavor.  My kids also don't like "minty" toothpastes.
