I cannot find the forum topic for 'matchmaking.'
I am a family of four- seeking 1, 2 or 3 other families for offgrid community on my 9 acres.
I have the land and need the brawn and conscientious community.
Where can we post for matchmaking?

I am definitely interested, as I’ve been off grid living for over a year, currently living in my van with my dog. I have been searching for an intentional community to join, other kindred spirits and conscious being, to grow/tend the land with, and grow as a community/family. I am a hard worker, open to new things who has been daydreaming about a better life for this world. I am trying to be that change. I am currently in TN but willing to travel to the right location (keeping weather in mind cuz if van dwelling) Thank you.

Hi there I know this post is a few years old but I'm the mother and husband of a family of 4 and desperate to live a life off the grid, we're hard working  and smart capable people doing research to find a simpler whole sustainable life been doing the daily grind but need something more! Don't want to raise our kids in this modern way! We're absolutely disgusted by the modern way of living that society is offering I truly appreciate what y'all are doing!

Hi! I'm not the original poster but I am a mother to one little boy, and my husband and I are currently trying to find a way to start homesteading and living sustainably. We also aren't big on the current culture. My email is abbierodgers676@gmail.com if you wanna talk about ideas!

Hi James! Your idea is very similar to what my husband and I are looking for for our family. I'm wondering if this vision has come together for you? Do you have any suggestions for other families hoping to cluster together in off grid communities?

Hi Mica. Where is your family located? I am trying to figure this conundrum out for our family. We bought raw land last year and have been developing it for a homestead, but I am so wishing that we had gone in on this project with other families who wanted to be supportive of one another. I know there are complications when doing this sort of thing with multiple families, but it seems worth it to figure it out.

Where? Where are your places? We are a family of three with a three year old and a camper. We are determined to sell our land in the mountains and move further south. My husband is a blacksmith artist. Im a permie and we just need some land with utilities and a workshop, and ideally a community

Hi Sarah Lynn.

We bought six acres in Floyd county, Virginia. It is a beautiful place but we don't have any friendly neighbors at this point and I now wish I had found the people first rather than the land first. My husband is a woodworker but doesn't have a shop or anything here yet.

Do you know how far south you are looking to go?

Katie

Hi folks,
Jumping on this thread as I am looking specifically for families with children and/or couples intending to have children and who want to raise them in a permaculture way. To me, this is pretty much the whole reason for intentional community.  It's all about the children and creating a place for future generations.  Although I am a mom, my son is 22 and on his own adventure. I bought a beautiful 53 acre mountainside with abundant woods, pasture, 70 apple trees, 3 springs, a swimming hole, an off grid log cabin with gravity fed spring water, no zoning and many like minded neighbors in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, with the intention of building a community/learning and retreat center based on permaculture and practical spirituality. I specifically looked for a place that has global warming resilience and plenty of water. I would like to present an opportunity for families who have permaculture skills to come build to own your own little piece of the small eco village. I don't have enough funds to support anyone,  but if you have a way to support yourselves and a way to house yourselves, I would love to hear about you and your family and discuss possibilities.

Hello Eve.

I'd love to talk more with you about your vision for your property. I am mama of a family of five, seeking community with other families who want to raise children guided by ancestral knowledge and permaculture principles. My husband is a finish carpenter and I am jack of many food trades (butchery, baking, etc.) , certified health coach and am currently at home with our children. I am curious about practical spirituality, I like the way that sounds.

My email is ksurgent@protonmail.com or feel free to call 410 474 9891.

Katie

Hello my name is Michele. I have a family My husband myself and 3 kids ages 9 months, 8, 17 years old. My husband is a master when it comes to construction, plumber etc. I myself am a jack of all trades when it comes to farming, gardening and a little woodwork also. I believe in growing a life that is more natural and healthy. I would love to find an off grid community for me and my family to be a part of, we don't have much when it comes to materialistic things and money but we do have hands that is very skillful and willing to learn more skills. We are a very humble and respectful family seeking a more meaningful life.

Hi Michelle,
We have been off grid homesteading on a property for 16 years and have recently bought another property with the idea of starting a pagan church and community.  You can see our listing at https://www.ic.org/directory/via-lactea-sanctuary/
We are really into grass based dairy cow agriculture, but also do veggies, fruit trees, nut trees, a few chickens.  The second property has some housing that could potentially be available.  We are in central NY state, so the weather can be cold and cloudy for long periods.  Let us know if you are interested.  jrdulle@gmail.com
thanks,
James

Hi Elijah, I wasn't sure from your post which community you were interested in.  If you are interested in ours, send an email to the address I mentioned in an earlier post.  Thanks!

Hello,
I am a single 44-year-old female.
I am looking for a community of unplugged people.
I have experience in off the grid living as well as several other areas I believe would be helpful.
I would like the opportunity to chat with some in a more privet setting.

Thank you!
Marie
