Every forum I’ve ever been in has a limit to the messages you can store.

I see the delete function okay, but don’t know the limit. So what is it?

Purple Moosages are actually not private messages. moderators(Humans) read them. And the preference is for questions to be answered on the forums, so that others after you can read it and get their similar questions answered. It's understandable that some semi-private purple moosages will be needed from time to time. But the vibe is that we should transition to email/phone/IRL/etc, when we want a real private space.

I have no idea what the limit is, or if we even have a limit, but Ifeel like most users here has yet to make 1,200 post, so having that many PM, like alot, but we do have a singles section, and I can see cute good morning messages, racking up in numbers pretty quickly.

I don't think there is a limit.

I'd say it more like this -    Purple Moosages are actually not private messages.  Some of the moderators have the ability to see them but they rarely do so.

I have about 500 PMs in my inbox so I don't think there's much of a limit.

I just didn’t  want to use more than my fair share.

And then the entire population worshiped me like unto a god. Well, me and this tiny ad:
