Someone needs to create a permies dating site.

**edit:  didn't realize that's what this was on this forum.  I clicked on the Community tab.  I now see there are lots of singles posts.  Good luck!

Here's one: Permies.com Dating Site

It's not as polished as Match or Tinder but it's free...
Staff note (Mike Haasl) :

actual URL is https://permies.com/f/42/singles but the clickable link above is prettier.

Hi,
I am a mature but energetic lady  of 57, have been working in printing for sometime on the east coast but have decided to draw the line as of recent policy changes within most corporations.  Not into the vaseline, if you know what I mean.  I am seeking a destination where I can put my efforts into what I deem as real wealth, not money.  And like minded people.   I' into growing herbs and veggies, herbal nutrition and medicine.  And many other things like making things, building, carpentry, love to paint, wall tile, etc.  Hope to hear back from you soon.

Grandparents in 90's, how cool.  You don't encounter that much more.  Get back to me later, thanks.

Sounds like you've made a great start! The pictures are fantastic. I've never been to the desert, but it seems a lot of people who are permie minded are drawn there.
I'm a southern girl born and bred, and I too have familial responsibilities, but I'd love to chat?

My email is hdrg06@gmail.com, I can't figure out how to send pm . Nervous about putting it up here . Please put off grid ranch in subject line so I know it came from here. And thanks for comments .  Have been collecting tools for years now . I would like to be able to bring some of the homeless vets in off the street . Let them make some stuff and get back on their feet if they want or just have a safe place to not be hassled . I was an electronics tech in the navy . I retired as an electrician and did most every type of construction . I can do most everything but as I am disabled I can only work in short periods .

From the landscape I’d guess you live within a few hours of me. It would be great to meet a like minded premie. I’m still in a city but have been looking at land & would love to learn about your well drilling & buying.

I'm in a similar boat - some good luck and help has came here and there, but overall its 99% me...which means mowing, laundry, cooking, dishes, gardens, "planning", equipment maintenence, etc... I know you understand! Just getting thru a "normal" day will somtimes take the wind right out of the sails ;)

Hang in there, it's worth it. I've come to realize the value of knowing that a future person or people will appreciate the work, and our micro, insect, and animal friends, too. We are never truly alone, even tho it sure feels that way sometimes.

Sent you a e mail Anna . Tried to upload more pics of what I have done lately but can't get to gallery here. I  had a bee hive move in last summer . They liven in trailer with me for several months . They made some awesome white honey. I purchased a hysolis battery pack and it has worked great .
