I’m living my version of “the dream” , tucked deep within the confines of the Arkansas Ozarks . It’s always awesome
I’d like to share my life with someone , a very certain person , whom I’ve never met .

Thank you for your attention , but I’ll be honest, I’ve given up the type of life ,that facilitates that type of possibility.
Long distance generally requires a lot of money and travel concessions ..I’m not getting vaxxed , nor am I ever letting anyone stick anything up my nose .so that seems beyond a realistic hope

The current trend is , .I’m not even digging coming out of the forest that much 😂

They say you can’t define freedom , but , by the absence of something you’ve known ..

I never intended to make a 17ft X 24ft canvas tent my permanent home, but it has become my preference , now .
I set it up ten years ago, with the intent , of building a cabin and moving out .
I’m still here ..I’ve almost finished the first guest cabin , with the materials for a second one , but me ...
I’ll likely stay in canvas forever ..

Thank you so much for your reply . I totally understand your position, and you are right long distance means lot of money involved, and now with Covid everything is more complicated... until few weeks ago I didn’t want to get vaccinated or anything, but  for some reasons I had to do it .
Also,  I’m not yet ready to give up the way I would like to live, may be I’ll find with time that it is possible here too... in a different way.

F 34 here. Are you enjoying Arkansas? I'm from upstate NY and love the forested mountains here but with everyone moving out of the cities I'm interested in hearing about other locations. Your place is gorgeous, keep up the amazing work. I understand the tent living, I decided to stay in a tipi for the next couple years.

I think I made a mistake suggesting writing me on my email ...I get so much crap on that thing , I miss a lot of stuff ..
I started an Instagram page for my retreat. I’m a wilderness lifestyle coach , of a sorts , and I’m building it , for exposure .
I think it gives a better idea of my thang.

Oh, I’m a Cristian ..I don’t  spend much time in buildings , the forest being my church. but it’s important to me .. it’s the narrative , in which I view today’s reality . If you don’t share that perspective , I’m afraid you find me difficult to bare..I’m very much a Sag. , I can’t be anything but

I’m also a political atheist, I don’t believe in any of that bullshit theatre ..if you have strong convictions towards either “side” , I’ll not convert

Well, looks Like I’ve met a kindred spirit , someone with a remarkably similar perspective and goals. Time will tell , but I believe it’s an answer to prayer and It’s pretty cool that it came about on this forum .

No, I’m not vegan ..A little meat, mostly raw foods .

It’s a kind of retreat ..I live in the wilderness and sometimes people come and stay awhile , help around, and learn how to live a more minimalist life ..the good life

I wonder about this too. I think you look like just about what I'm looking for, but I'm far away. Relocating to the Missouri Ozarks this year, but who knows. I keep thinking that online isn't really a way to meet someone, but that's my pagan self thinking the universe will bring the right person along when the time is right so it doesn't matter what I do.

I'm not really completely wilderness though. I can be - built my own house, was primitive off grid for several years - but my preference is to have some "modern luxuries" while still retaining the capacity and skills to be fully sustainable if needed.

Can we be friends? I'm living in the Arkansas Ozarks as well and absolutely love it here. I love Jesus too but I'm not into the church scene although I've checked one out recently as a pulse test. I've found that in the world of quirky homesteady, earthy people, it's kind of hard to find someone who's not into new age so I'm intrigued by your comment about that. Aside from gardening and raising chickens, I like to hike, forage, float the river, make art and write music. Nature is where I feel most connected to God and to myself so I just try to spend as much time in it as possible. Really, I stumbled across the singles section of permies out of curiosity. I do, as I think we all do, hope to find someone to love and do life with but for now I'm just looking for a friend to nerd out about nature, God and permaculture with. Be well!

Sounds like a lot of shared interests ..be hard to turn down another friend , of the same ilk ..you bet .

I’ve had a string of technical problems, as of late , one being , the Instagram account , that I do my retreat on, got hacked. . Apparently ,I’m not smart enough to get it back and the current occupier is scamming with some bitcoin crap . it’s a bit ironic..

As a side not , if ya wanna see what I got going you can still check it out in TikTok . The_land_of_imagination ..

I don't want to "date" anyone ...I want to follow a mysterious white fawn into the forest and spend a single night with the freckled queen of the woodland Realm, only to stagger home at sunrise and find that three hundred years have passed
