Hello all!

I drink a lot of raw cows milk but I would like to learn more about what makes up cows milk ( enzymes, proteins, vitamins, etc. )  There is so much debate surrounding cows milk...milk is good! milk is bad! milk is proinflammatory! milk is a complete protein!  It is tricky to find resources that acknowledge both perspective when it comes to dairy milk. If anyone could suggest any resources, journal articles, books, etc. or if you have any personal input I'd love to hear about them!

Here is a page from Raw Milk Institutein California. You may find some info there:

Do you buy milk or do you have your own cow?

Many things can be true, for different people.  For some people, milk (particularly raw milk, or unhomogenized milk) can be quite healthy.  For other people milk after the age of 2 makes them sick.
My nephew would react to typical grocery store milk with worsened acne, if his mom bought organic milk this didn't happen.

I grew up with cows' milk. We drank it (skimmed of course) like young calves.

It still agrees with me, a nice little splash in my morning coffee is SOP, just to bump down the acidity.

But it doesn't agree with everyone. Beyond childhood, it seems quite a lot of folks do not naturally generate the enzymes needed to digest milk.

I know that the use of hormones to enhance production is much more prevalent in milk production south of the '49th. Up here it's not permitted. Not playing politics or anything, but I wonder if that could that be a factor?
