Kombucha - Mold?

I am new to kombucha fermentation. I had my first batch done 2-3 months back and it turned out good except it was little more acidic than expected. This time there is some unusual buildup on scoby which I do not know if it is normal or mold. This picture was on 6th day. Next one is on 10th day. Can you experts advice if this is ok.

It does look strange, but I don't think it is mold - especially as it was overgrown in the following days.
I would keep an eye on the batch and maybe dip the scoby under the liquid from time to time to make sure it is surrounded by acidic beneficial liquid.

i agree with Anita. I don't watch my scobies every day, and often my final product has blotches, so maybe this is normal. if it bothers you, just cut off the part that has the darker spots, and use the lighter remainder.

Welcome to Permies, Rahul! I agree, looks okay to me. Perhaps it was kahm yeast? It looks a bit like that. If so, it's harmless, though it can give an off flavor to ferments sometimes. It can be removed fairly easily if needed.

remove the scoby and see if it regrows a new one without the " growth"

you can keep that scoby in a another jar and cover it with your liquid also to see what happens to it,just for fun

Thanks all for your valuable inputs. I have seen patches on scoby earlier as well but this was an unusual one. I agree with Anita that since it has overgrown in a normal looking one it should be harmless. I actually have two batches in parallel and both had same growth and both look similar now.  Today I bottled the liquid and started 2nd fermentation stage. I am going at make use of these scobies in a new batch and see how it goes.
