BB Approval Notifications

I need to regularly refresh the page to confirm that my BB Request for Certification was approved.  I don't receive notifications for my BB being approved from the bell in the top right corner of the webpage nor do I receive emails. I checked the edit profile settings and didn't find anything obvious that I should change for this notification functionality. I just wanted to first find out if the notification feature actually exists?

I haven't been getting *any* notifications (moosages, replies to topics, approvals etc)  for at least a few days.   I thought accidently turned them off or something but haven't spent any time figuring out how to fix it.  Maybe it's actually a glitch if it's not just me?

To add to my confusion, I only received an email notification because you "liked" my original post. I don't get emails for replies (but now maybe I should double check my settings...

So I checked my email settings quickly and my selections were opposite what my expectations were. I would have expected for the checked box to be unchecked and vice versa.
