Austin and I spent some time and care to turn a pile of short scrappy boards into the decking for these shelves.

Also testing the electric post hole auger, turns out it can’t quite dig through frozen ground. The attempt convinced me that it’s a tough little machine.

finally finished calibrating the sawmill after the arrival of a long awaited replacement drive belt.

I think the belts kept snapping because a washer was missing from the motor mount, taking it's drive gear out of parallel with the that of the saw blade. Time will tell. Hopefully this belt lasts long enough for us to put up a nice pile of siding and 2x4's
