I see Cassiopeia (“Wonky looking ‘W’”). From Texas.
Can you see it too?

Surf and turf
Out and about
Early to rise

Another day of stewardship..
isn’t this what I asked for?
Looking back I can see how far I’ve come
“Have you celebrated yourself?”
It can make someone’s day

Wave abundantly
With cheer sincerely
Be the advocate in the mirror
I dare thee
Who says “I love you”

Thanks B, for hosting
Sharing your life culture and kindness
May your journey continue to overflow with abundance henceforth

Second night in Texas after leaving Arkansas at dawn..

Helping make wood chips with Josiah and Jen, for their new garden.. and helped start this deck.. oooohhh-la-la~~.. it’s good to spend time with fam.. I’m glad the timing worked out.. I hope I can maybe demonstrate someday just half the awesome host skills that you’ve shared with me..

Tomorrow another fellow permie, D, has generously offered to host me.. this adventure is a bit unfamiliar because everyday I see a new part of the world.. and everyday I meet people who show up with a smile and a willingness to share their lives with a traveling nomad like me.. feeling honored and privileged to meet such kind folks.. thank you from the bottom and the top of my heart..

Ps. After tomorrow night I ride toward Irvine California, where I grew up.. my sister will host for a few nights, then I make my way north to Seattle to take care of a few things. Not sure if there are permies between Texas and Cali, but if you’re reading this, and would like to meet/host me, I’d be very grateful.. I’m more than willing to share my resources and stories.. if interested of course.. whether it’s some of my amateur skills or a listening ear or sweeping floors or washing windows or silly jokes.. or if you’re reading this and know of some cool places to camp for a night, please let me know!.. for now it’ll be rest stops or camping for the evening and driving during the day for about three nights.. in any case, the adventure continues and the universe guides me..! We row on..!!

A full days drive..
dawn to dusk
Began in Georgetown
Landed just west of El Paso..
While searching for fizzy bubbly
met a girl named Valeria
She works at the Walmart
I asked her to marry me
Then she said no
But i think she likes me
But I think she likes me
The hottest romances
Are also the briefest
I was just there
For a fizzy bubbly

Ps. Yesterday D showed me all over Georgetown.. got to stretch my legs walking all over town and river park.. I’d definitely come back.. thanks so much for your generosity, D! I’m so excited for your upcoming adventure..!!

Pps. We finished the deck at Josiah’s.. what a feeling..!

Post 12, Wednesday

.. over a week since the last update.. glad to be back.. lt flew by.. southern Cali was nice, got to hang with my sisters family for a few days.. then stopped by Santa Clara, visiting A on the way towards Washington..

.. now I have plates on the vehicle and title on the way.. next is to get some repair/maintenance done on the car.. then it will be fully road worthy.. starters, a timing belt, two tires and all the engine mounts replaced.. power steering might need a fair bit of attention also..

.. as far as the mission of being a supportive helpful city hopper goes, I am sweeping and wiping counters at one of My favorite peoples, the “Burgers’”.. just a night or so until I get a place off my own situated..

.. perhaps this endeavor looks bleak at the moment.. a blank canvas holds un painted beauty..

Post 13 Tuesday

Been in Seattle/Bothell for a few days now.. getting the van fixed (round 1) is nearly done.. then I’m called to head southward.. will be passing through Oregon again.. with a bit more flexibility in timing, in case some folks might care for a visit.. so far I’ve got two maybe three stops in Oregon.. can’t wait to eat in n out again.. after Oregon, NorCal.. possibly Sebastopol ya? And then stop by Santa Clara for a meal with a friend.. after that, maybe a visit to Nevada city.. May the lord bless the many through this journey.. of course I like blessings too

Post 14 Saturday

Happy as a clam being on the road..

It’sa Saturday.. i woke up in a warm/dry bed.. had a good bowl movement (always thankful for those).. Car started right up.. and took off southbound toward Portland.. I’m at the Portland headquarters goodwill superstore.. what treasures might I find? I only really need a cotton or silk duvet and a waterproof coat..

Post 15 Sunday

L’s place really felt warm and welcoming.. the best spaghetti with garlic toast I’ve had and best tomato soup with grilled cheese I’ve had.. what else is there other than good food and good company?.. bon appetite!

On the road again.. the open road truly feels like home.. for now at least.. the possibilities seem endless.. it’s somewhat freeing

I wonder what type of shelther you will have for the winter? 4season camping?

Ultimately, 4 seasons yes.. as far as type, I’m leaning towards bermshed-wofati-esque for now.. thanks for asking S Bengi!!

A friend of mine swears by "brush shelters" for short term emergency winter housing.  If they're built thickly enough they work even in colder areas than Montana.  They can be as large as you want.  She says a good one takes a week or less to build.  Make a survival brush shelter

This sounds really cool—thanks Mike!! Hope your adventures are catching plenty of good winds, my friend! I’m in California for the moment :)
